In this video you will find the Solar Tracker we have designed and constructed for Stirling Solar concentrator of ST500 engine. The tracker main process is based on Solar Position Algorithm without using any optical feedback of sunlight. This enables us to significantly reduce the effects of clearance between mechanical parts specially in windy weathers. After installing the tracker on the solar concentrator, the temperature of collector increased about 150 degrees of Celsius.(From 553 to 710'C). 

The solar concentrator had been designed for ST100 engine (Designed and constructed by IP-CO 2 years ago) which needed only about 3.5kW of heat inlet. Thus during this test we had to reduce charge pressure of ST500 engine to only 4bar to keep heat inlet as low as possible.
